The idea of a specialty store offering innovative and stylish home organizing solutions was developed in 2000 by Zenaida R. Tantoco and her son, Anthony T. Huang--the mother-and-son team behind Stores Specialists, Inc.  Recognizing the growing scarcity of space and time to organize one’s home, the retailing geniuses decided to create a store concept for modern men and women who consider the home an extension of their self.  They wanted a store that is modish and one that offers quality, form and function, style and texture, inspiration and fun.   Make Room was born out of this idea, with the first store opening in June of 2001 in the upscale Power Plant Mall at the Rockwell Center in Makati City.
