The idea of the signature shoe was born in the late 1970’s.  It was Mr. Della Valle’s belief that people needed a beautiful, well-made shoe that could be worn in a professional, elegant, or casual environment.  This idea led to the now internationally renowned luxury moccasin, with the trademark 133 rubber pebbles on the sole, named ‘Gommino’.  In 1997, Diego Della Valle expanded its collection, introducing a classic, modern, yet chic bag collection that reflects the spirit, quality and design of the Tod’s shoe collection perfectly.

Each step into the construction of every individual piece is a marvel of craftsmanship, from the cutting of the leather to the hand sewing of the parts, which contributes to its beauty and durability, and all Tod’s products are entirely made in Italy.  This is the idea of Contemporary Luxury according to Tod’s.

Tod’s boutiques can be found all over the world, but its headquarters are nestled in the central Italian region of the Marche, where the contemporary vision and old world know how live in symbiosis.  It is here that superior artisans who have honed their skills over generations painstakingly hand made every Tod’s piece.

Art, luxury, craftsmanship, this is Tod’s heritage.
